Behind the scenes in the city with New Zealand Designer Hera Couture
We were lucky enough to be a part of an inner city Auckland shoot for New Zealand designer Hera Couture, the brain child of the lovely Katie Yeung.
Katie is phenomenally talented and designs beautiful, intricate wedding gowns for women across the world. In an industry full of fast fashion her dedication to fit and craftsmanship is a refreshing change and something we wish more people understood the importance of.
Their Ponsonby flagship situated in the heart of Auckland city holds their largest collection and Katie, being Katie, will ensure every-single one of their brides is fitted perfectly, not a single garment leaves the workroom without her seal of approval be it an off-the-rack iconic gown or a beautifully crafted custom piece of which she only creates 12 per year.
Fit and form is paramount for all Hera Couture designs, it’s those little things that set her apart from other designers and ensure that every single woman who wears one of her gowns, feels like a million dollars for the most special day of her life.
